In retrospect She wondered If the yearning of her soul Is an entailment of The bliss of togetherness In a previous life For lonliness to exist There needs to be an existence Of complete union To be homesick One needs to first know How it feels to be home For we won’t long for something

Untrap

Love is not a trap Instead of putting shackles Around your ankles I wish it adds strength To your wings If my stepping back Would take the burden away Giving you the much needed space Then even without a blink I set you free For your wishes May not be my commands But they invariably

Drilled wall

She had drilled holes In the thick wall That stood between them To get a glance of him And sooth her yearning heart Coz it misses his presence But emotions which left her tongue tied made him question His place in her heart He may choose to believe Or not believe but Truth be told

Miles afar

Everytime he smiles When there is melody in his voice And his verses come to life Her belief in love intensifies And his warmth Reaches her heart Even though he was miles afar ©Sakshi Gangwani

His thoughts

Be it in the storms Or the calmness of its aftermath His thoughts stay with her As a constant reminder of hope And existence of love In her yearning heart © Sakshi Gangwani

Conundrums

There were days When no matter how far The distance didn’t matter For she could feel his presence in the air And then were the days When he’d say he was there Yet she’d feel the absence of his soul In his words Conundrums of the bond They shared © Sakshi Gangwani

Benign heart

His benign heart And gentleness of his words Was a balm to her soul But on days they share smiles Is the time when Past wounds disappear Such is their love Which doesn’t fit in the template Defined by the rest of the world © Sakshi Gangwani

Defying odds

Every rock every boulder Every hurdle Blocking the path That lay between them Becomes insignificant When his silhouette appears On the other side With open arms And in moments such as these She wants nothing more But to melt in that embrace Forgetting the existence Of everything else Her heart longs for his warmth So

Grandeur in Simplicity

His aura and vibe Adds color to her life Even when her thoughts Get fogged by grey clouds When atrocities of the world hound And in moments such as these She wishes to get a glimpse of His smile For she knows It’ll dissolve all woes Delusions of grandiose May blind others But her heart
