Intertwined

He wasn’t a thing of her past
Nor does she know
What future holds
But if life gives them a chance
She’d walk up to him
And clasp their hands
With fingers intertwined
Knowing they’d fit like a glove
Sharing their warmth
She’d whisper in his ears
You are my today
and my everyday
It may have been a rocky road
But discombobulation are ephemeral
As long as our
Souls are entwined
Which I believe
Shall stay that way
Even beyond a lifetime
